Still, a good majority of the cast members, including the main character, deliver convincing performances that make these fight scenes more like a tooth and nail brawl, and less like a ballet masquerading as violence.

You can, and ought to, leave your higher thought processes behind while watching Stranger. Analysis Santiago—and the reader—finally meets the alchemist in this section.

Early into his journey, he meets an old king named Melchizedek or the king of Salem, who tells him to sell his sheep so as to travel to Egypt and introduces the idea of a Personal Legend.

A few of the villains are emotionally unphased by pain, which, by design or not in this case, it is by the design of the plotsaps a little of the drama out of these scenes.

How the director decided when Chinese was appropriate as opposed to the dub is beyond me. Even in the fastest exchanges, the frames of animation are sufficient to keep individual moves distinguishable.

Five hundred mounted troops arrive in the city pretending to be on a peaceful expedition, but when they arrive at the tent in the center of Al-Fayoum they all draw hidden swords and attack. Santiago arrives at the Egyptian pyramids and begins to dig.

Santiago wanders from the oasis into the desert and, seeing two hawks fighting in the sky, has a vision of an army entering the oasis.

The caravan leader gathers the travelers together and tells them that tribal warfare prevents them from continuing their journey. He also says that courage is the quality most essential to understanding the Language of the World.

The alchemist says he needs to help direct Santiago to the treasure he seeks. Regarding everything that puts the drama into gratifying action scenes, Stranger delivers in spades. Soon the two men enter into an area of intense tribal warfare. Albeit having sold "well", the publisher after a year decided to give Coelho back the rights.

The overall simplicity is, in fact, a benefit to this historical martial arts epic; the story flows at a brisk pace, but remains cohesive and effortless to follow.

Thieves beat Santiago and rob him of his money. The old man who leads the chieftains rewards Santiago with fifty gold pieces and asks him to become the tribal counselor.

As a result, the tribal chieftains gain a great deal of confidence in Santiago and his abilities, and they ask him to serve as a tribal counselor. Believing a recurring dream to be prophetiche asks a Romani fortune teller in a nearby town about its meaning.

The music primarily consists of the powerful orchestral pieces typical of epics. When they reach an oasis, Santiago meets and falls in love with an Arabian girl named Fatima, to whom he proposes marriage.

The horseman asks who dared read the flight of the hawks. Inside, Santiago sees no traditional alchemy tools.He sees a tent that a group of passing Arabs says genies inhabit.

Santiago waits beside the tent, and at midnight the alchemist appears on his horse carrying two dead hawks on his shoulder.
